Another day off from work, so another day of detecting. I loaded my favorite machines up in the car and my buddy with the GTI 1500 came along. We had plans to do some water hunting and maybe scare up another ring or two before that white mold starts to show itself. Stopped at Harvey's for a burger and bought a full tank of gas.

We got to the lake and brrrrrrrrrrrr, the wind was blowing and the water was just to rough. So, we opted to hunt an old camp site near by. We each got some modern loot and other goodies.

Next, we loaded up all of our gear and decided to go to the beach and hunt the dry sand. Even though I had hunted this area not too long ago, we figured that there must still be some goodies waiting for us.

After a couple of hours hunting, my take of the finds looked like this. But...we all know how smart Garrett machines can be.....they read 2 x quarters as 50 cents. Well the infinium is pretty sophisticated too.

The Infinium must have known that working in a cold northern wind can build up a thirst, so it just went wild over a particular area, nearly jumping out of my arms. I have had plenty of hours on this machine, so I know it was seriously trying to get my attention. I dug down and was rewarded with 4 unopened cans of beer, very cold too.

The GTI 2500 has lots of brains too. It found a 1959 silver dime, a 1929 Wheat cent and a 1939 Canadian penny. Just amazing how those Garrett machines look after each other. The sun was starting to lose it's strength, so it was time to call it a day.
Good finds, great weather, some exercise, friends and adventure. What else could someone want! I'll drink to that!
