I spent the morning searching around an old farmhouse slated to be torn down this week. I had permission to hunt it on the first of the month. I got two different types of tokens, a 1940 silver quarter, an old child's bret with a cowboy on it, an old belt buckle and some other coins.
This afternoon, I hunted in the woods as the wind was from the north and had a good bite to it. I got this signal, and only 2 inches deep, was this dog tag. I thought at first it was a child's sheriff's badge or chauffeur's badge. But upon closer inspection, it was a 100 year old (1907-190 dog tag. Now that's quite a distance.....Buffalo New York to Edmonton. I also got the HEART-CAT earring out in the middle of nowhere, off a trail in the woods.
Below is a closeup of the finds and a photo of the house that I found most of the targets at.
