GTI 2500 custom mode

I have been hunting a shell impact site on the 2nd largest battlefield in Arkansas. There was quite a bit of trash, mostly clad coins, go figure. We cherry picked the lead and brass and then went for pure iron. Custom mode with only the first notch accepted kicked ass. I pretty much stay in all metal so this was a big surprise. I found a lot of shell frags with this setting, hotchkiss, james, britton, and borman. This setting did a great job of eliminating everything else but at a serious loss of depth. Anyway, I'd highly recommend using this setting for this type of hunting as it was perfect for the task. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Wow, I've heard of doing just the opposite, but this is the first time I ever heard of notching out everything but the first iron notch. However, I can see how it could be useful in the situation you describe. Thanks for sharing. Next time though, maybe you need to call me to get all those nasty old coins out of your way first. HB
