GTI 2500 Button Sticking Problem Cure :nerd:

I was trying out my 2500 and had problem with the buttons sticking down. Especially the PinPoint button. The sharp edges on the neoprene buttons were catching under the faceplate if you didn't push them down stright. I used fine sandpaper and sanded the sharp edge on the buttons a little and rounded them out. Now their working great. No sticking, and it didn't hurt them either. Called Garrett about the cracked battery case. They're sending me two new replacements "FREE". Seems a lot of 2500 owners have had the same problem with the battery cases. Think I'll try to beef the new ones up a little for strength. Garrett folks are great to admit a problem and take care of it. I guess thats why I stay with Garrett tectors. Plus the fact their great machines.
