GTI 2500 ALL METAL MODE

I have been hunting with a GTI 2500 for several years. I, rarely, hunt in "all metal" mode as the threshold tone doesn't seem to be steady. I used to use the Garrett ADS Deepseeker detectors that had automatic mode and they maintained a nice steady tone. Are there any suggestions as to how to hunt in all metal to get a steadier tone like the older models? I would like to use all metal as I know that it goes deeper on targets.

Turn the threshold down to a faint hum or all the way off. All it does is establish the audio for all metal and pinpoint.
