I started detecting useing a garrett metal detector
and havent owned one for a long time. I just purchased
a GTI 2000 off ebay. I got that model because I couldn't quite afford the 2500. I couldn't find much info on it how dose it differ from the 2500 have any
of you who have owned one find it to be a good machine?
I really like the idea of the treasure vision.

I think the GTI 2500 got a screen backlight and can use with the Treasure Hound Dept Multiplier.

I had one and it worked great. The upgrades are not that useful. The 2500 is a little more stable then the 2000.You'll like it.
 
The 2000 was the fore runner of the 2500. It's a great machine with just a few minor features shy of the 2500. If you don't have a manual you can get one from Garrett or copy one off their web site.
