GTI 1500

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone still uses a GTI 1500? I use mine for all kinds of hunting, but my favorite is relic hunting.
Attached are a couple of photos of just a few of the artifacts that I find on an Indian campsite from around 1850 to 1860.
I love the target imaging although I dig most signals unless it is small iron. The only negative is the machines weight but if you attach the battery pack to your belt its not too bad.

Hi Kansa54..You got alot of good finds there!. I too have a gti-1500. Reason I said 'have' and not 'use' is it is one of the first ones made but virtually like new yet. I got it 6-7 years ago but only went out once with it. Just now getting more interested in doing it now that I'm retired. I got it from my Brother in Texas..but he used it very little. He is in the medical profession and works long hours so don't think he used it much. I just watched the video that came with it last week. I can see I need to learn more about it. I am more into relics and occasional coin hunt so by what I have read off the wide world of net..I'd be better off with the 12.5" imaging coil? Not sure where to set everything on screen..but will learn (I hope). I think I'd want less discrimination and dig more..and try to get more dept..right? I think this machine will be fun once I learn it. P.S. I was at a thrift store and found a VERY nice all leather soft case exact size as original..except it has two big zipper side pouches -one on each side and is awsome for carrying more stuff. I can't believe the quality of that leather bag!..must have been very expensive when new. huge zippers, ect. I paid $3 for it and transferred my foam insert from original over to it. Gene

Here's a few of the iron arrow pts. that I find with my GTI 1500. I always hunt in the zero mode. Get a lot of signals that way but you learn what's a good signal . On a site like this, even the junk signals sometimes turn out to be good.

nice finds there kansa54..Thanks on the 'zero mode' info- I think that is the mode I'll be using. I got to figure out how to set it up so stays that way until I change it. I know it is on video, I just got to re-watch it and practice. Gene

Seems to work great on just about anything. I usually don't look for jewelry but last month I went to a swimming area at a near by lake and found two 10k rings. Took them to a pawn shop and got 100 dollars for the pair.
Dancer's right, it works great on coins.
