GTI 1500 or a T2

Tom E IL

New member
I am thinking about a T2 or the GTI 1500, I do mostly coin shooting. I work out of town and will not be home till the end of May so would like to know of a dealer in MI for the T2. Was at Cabelas last week and the T2 they have is in the white box, I remember reading something about the white box T2's. I will need to go to a dealer to get either one; most places will only ship to home address.
Thanks for any info

Tom,

Give a call to Walt at Ann Arbor Metal Detectors. He will help you out on choosing a detector. If you can afford a T2, you have a lot of options out there. Would be best to sit down and talk with him and let him know what you plan to hunt and where you plan to hunt. He is an authorized dealer for all the major manufacturers. I buy lots of stuff at Cabela's since I live here in Toledo. But I would never buy a metal detector from any place but an authorized dealer.

But only Garrett will give you the size of an object. They definitely had coin shooting in mind when they engineered, designed and built the GTP and GTI models. Personally, I don't think you will find a better coin finding machine on the market. There is a ton of junk out there, and the Garrett's quickly allow you to make a good calculated decision to dig or not, leaving lots of junk in the ground where it belongs.
