Just bought this detector on Ebay but doesn't come with the other search coils.How well does the D coil pinpoint.Any recommendations? Thanks Ron

GTAx550 with Double D coil.

If you have the 5 x 10 coil, it should pinpoint right off the front or back tip. Just "x" the target with your pinpoint and then slide it back till the signal stops and it should be right at the front tip or the back one if you so desire to slide it forward.

It pinpoints off the center front tip of the coil. I have a field test on it at losttreasure.com.

Not a bit. Still got it. We have a feller on here that finds a ton of stuff with his 550. It doesn't have a lot of fancy features but does what it's supposed to do - finds coins and is hot on rings.
