Has anyone ever been to the beach (on the coast) and used their 1000 in the wet sand or in the water and had any luck with that ???

thanx for your replies

On the Destin-area Florida beach I hunted depth and stability were surprisingly good. On the Corpus Christie TX beach I hunted (with several machines), a 6" dime might as well be on the moon - falsing was bad too. The humble little 250 actually outperformed some higher end machines in the wet salt on this last beach, including my 1500 with the 5x10 DD.

I'm talking about hunting below the wet-line on both beaches, naturally. Dry sand is no problem for most machines.

This is a GTA 1000 PM model but I would imagine that performance would be similar with the GTAx.
