GTA or GTAX

Good evening, Kenny, was told by garrett the X in only an upgrade in handle design. I asked specificly about the X , asI was told by another th'er, the x had more depth, but its the powermaster GTA series that has 20% more depth.

Thanks! I didn't see any difference in the manuals. Now I will look at the handles and see what the difference is.

If you are talking the GTA 1000 and the GTAx1000 there is a little difference depending on which one you have. The first GTA 1000 were the Ultra 1000 and then the later model was the GTA 1000 and had the Powermaster circuitry before they went to the GTAx1000 which had the better shaft where the hand grip was. I tried both the GTA 1000 with powermaster and the GTAx1000 and thought they were about the same, but the early Ultra GTA 1000 didn't have the depth the ones with powermaster.

Thanks Rick. I was just looking and it seemed some of the Garrett models were offered in the GTA form then the newer models changed to GTAx. I see now that there is some differences.
