Gta 1000 Ultra

Eric

New member
Haven't been able to be online much lately. Detecting is off for a while since the fields have crops on them. Will have to try parkhunting soon.

I have a question, I can buy a mint gta1000 ultra with the eliptical coil. Is it still a decent detector? I don't need to get that much depth, and 5 '' would be okay. I would use that for parks and lawns.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Eric.

Heck yeah!:thumbup:Jump on it bro'!:detecting:That's a great machine. The ones with PowerMaster are best, but the Ultra is good too! (some Ultras have PowerMaster/it would say on detector). Those 5"x10" Crossfire search coils haven't been made in years and are hard to come by. I'd never part with mine. You won't regret buying that machine Eric. Good luck.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Thanks Metalhead, just want give it a try:thumbup: I am atracted to that eliptical coil to be honest... the detector looks a bit more ''cool''! I had a GTA 1000 in the 90's but can''t recall if it was the ultra or PM. I did not kep it long enough to have a opinion on it.

Will post my finds soon I hope.

Good luck with the metal detector, Eric. I myself don't know much about them, but it looks in good condition and I like that coil, too. HH
