Yard find, is it old, new I do not know I never know what I am going to find in my yard, was going to sell the gta1000, just might keep it found 3 pennies 1 wheat and 1 ring object that the xlt has missed. I keep trying to date my yard, and the finds keep getting stranger and stranger.

I have not mastered pinpointing with it, i bought it to see how well a Garrett metal detector would perform. So far I have been pretty impressed. I have been putting it up against the xlt, to decide on my next future upgrade the Garrett 2500 or the spectra v3. So far in field test I am impressed with the Garrett, the only feature I wish it had was the squeeze trigger pin pointer. Friend sets there and calls me the garret man alot when I am using it, he drools over the garrett pinpointer, he bought the white bullseye which he replaced with the harbor freight $12 pinpointer, which outperforms the bulleseye.

Yeah man, I'd hang on to that GTA 1000 if I were you. It's a great machine.:garrett::detecting:Cool find!:clapping:You might want to ask on the whatzit forum.:wiggle:Happy Hunting!:)

Hey! A friend of mine has an almost new GTA 1000 he wants to sell. What would be the best way for him to find a new home for this machine?

Looks like a three ring civil war bullet to me! Used in the riffled musket during the civil war. 58 cal.

Is the GTA 1000 and the GTP 1350 basically the same machine minus the Profiling?:garrett:

Absolutely not. The 1250/1350/1500 are the same except for profiling on one, imaging on the other, and neither on the 1250.
