Was this a new GT?? if not it may be one that is a after market one that snaps on the shaft. If not you may have got a Elite arm cuff which is the same, but had a plastic stand the slides below the arm cuff if you mount the control box ahead of your hand grip. If you mount the control box below the arm cuff the stand is not used.
