Fixed my GT. I can actually use it now without my blood pressure reaching dangerous levels..wildherre

I want to do the remote pinpoint to mine too, but will probably this winter during the slow time. I like the meter where you put it too as it is easy to see, wish Minelab would make the Elite this way as it makes it so much easier to use

The balance is still good with the Minelab meter mounted in the stock location but is just not viewable. The heavier meters (Sunray DTI III & Patriot) are really noticeable when mounted in the stock location. The weight of the Patriot largely disappears when mounted on top of the handle. The remote pinpoint switch is probably the most important thing for me as I probably switch back n forth at least a dozen times a minute while hunting..Even with all the adjustability of the Minelab straight shaft, its still not nearly as comfortable as the Whites shaft, for me anyway.. wildherre
