Have a friend with S..Gt..got a new wot coil...and is having trouble with it falsing in the salt water.......any help?

I know a few people that use the WOT in the water on Xcals. They really have to turn them down to get keep them from overpowering the receive coil. BUT..... turning them down doesnt appear to affect their depth..... they do very well with the. Sometimes we get to concerned about turning our sensitivity way up....a smooth machine in many situations gets just as good depth and you dont leave wondering about false signals.

Also the movement of the water can cause falsing. My Excal will false in shallow water every time a wave washes over it. Tell your friend to try turning the sensitivity down and see if that helps.

You will not be disappointed your going to find nice goodies just buy a wrist support before it starts to hurt and you will be a happy camper.
