GT Sensitivity Question

grumpy

New member
On the GT does running the sensitivity at AUTO or in Manual make any difference??? I was out today playing in a park with the machine and set the sens on auto : smooth runing no problem. Moved to Manual and set about 12 oclock to get it smooth ; Then turned it down to min and seemed to pic about the same items up. Set manual to the max position and it was blow you away noisy. ; Just wondering if it was benifical to even use the Manual and when or where this was so over the automatic sens.???
Thanks
Grumpy

Grumpy,

Auto sensitivity is recommended to learn the GT with as it will run smoother with less nulling to help the learning curve. Once you know the Sovereign it is recommended to run manual to see the deeper targets but will be a bit more noise. Those deeper targets are smaller signals and while in auto they will not be seen, but in manual they can and will be seen if you are listening close and going slower, but like I say it will not be as smooth running threshold is why it is not recommended to learn the Sovereign in manual.
