I was out hunting today at a site that has yielded a few wheaties some civil war lead and a large cent. Everything was found with sensitivity in auto so today thought i would try manual. So set to about 3 to 4 o'clock position and set out. Now mind you I'm in the central part of Va. so red dirt is the norm, but the threshold was steady if I went slow. I was getting some nice sweet high tones and would just dig old rusted pieces of nails that was all that was there they were around 6 to 8 inches. I also noticed that coins hit with a best way to describe is a boooy boooy in the respective tone. The nails were just the high tone no round sound associated with them. Do coins at depth also hit with that nice round sound or do they just hit with a high tone only. I wonder if I gave up to quickly it was just noisier than I'm used to. I'm still a rookie on the GT any info is appreciated
