doers anyone have experience with these meters ,,,which one is best for the g.t.???? rgds ...comcat

At this time if you want a new meter the only one I know of is the Minelab digital meter. Used ones there are several that were being made with my favorite the Sun Ray DTI meters nwhich are not being made anymore and can be found used on the classified at times.
The new Minelab meter is a 180 meter like the Sun Ray was and it too works real good and a excellent meter and if I couldnt get a Sun Ray meter the new Minelab Digisearch meter would be my next choice.

And don't get confused as some used Minelab meters are the older 500 - 600 meters and look somewhat like the newer 180 meters

Also consider rescaling the older 550 Minelab meters to 180. I had a technician rescale an Elite Sovereign 550 meter to 180 and it works perfectly. I operate in disc mode with both the notch and disc knobs at 0. It locks on targets and I can easily separate zinc pennies from wheat's, clad or silver dimes and quarters. Also I have dug only one screw cap using this meter. Parts are cheap, less than $5. Do a google search for instructions.

I got 3 new ML meters for early sovs pm me if interested.
