GT made me Smile

I went out early this morning to an old National Guard Armory that is now used as a Recruiting Center. I went over the area a bit over a year ago and the only silver I found was a marksmanship badge. I did find a number of wheat pennies and that gave me hope.,

July 4th I found more wheaties and one 1964 Rosie.

Today 4 more wheaties, $1.85 in clad and over 20 copper Lincolns. As usual I found a 65 Washington, 65 Rosie, 62 and 64 nickels.

Today is the first time that I have ever found two silver coins in South Carolina on the same day.

After hunting for about 3 hours I had one of those Iffy targets. Had a weak high tone that I could not pin point accurately. So I did some digging. Finally found the rascal at about 4 1/2 to 5 inches deep standing on edge. 1954 Rosie for the kitty.

Two hours later it was getting HOT and I was getting thirsty. Decided that I would see if I could find one more decent target (dime or quarter) and then head home.

Got a nice high tone that was not real deep. Figured it was a clad coin. Dug a plug and out of the dirt comes a 1964 Rosie. Put the Rosie in my pocket. Put the plug back and headed for my vehicle and the A/C at Home.

Yep my Gt made me smile today.
