GT arm cuffs

RFK48

New member
I was out hunting this past week with a sweatshirt on and I had to pull up my sleeve so my arm would fit in the arm cuff on the GT. I am hoping somebody has an idea on how to alleviate this problem because I plan on hunting NJ beaches into winter and will be wearing a coat. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

I have a GT and used it all winter with little problems.I rarely use a jacket and have been out in minus weather and snow and wind howling! I dress in layers and the last item is a hoodie. Sometimes I use a sleeveless vest. Most of the time I am pulling off garments. Been out in some pretty bad conditions. I don't think you should have an issue.

its real tight on my arms also. I removed the neoprene padding, that helps some. if its still to tight try converting over to another armcuff like a whites.

Just drill it out for a 1/4" s/s screw (1/4-20) & wing nut with a lock washer too. They work great for replacing both the GT and regular plastic Minelab cuffs. See Chuck at Indian Nations (one of the Forum sponsers).

We have global warming here in NJ. You can wear just a t-shirt in the winter.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I think I will try to spread the stock cuffs out a little first and if that doesn't work I'll look into the Whites cuffs.
