GT and the DEPTHMASTER

Has anybody tried to use a Depthmaster on their Sovereign GT? I purchased one because I have minor hearing loss and thought it would be a benefit. Tried to use it this morning and absolutely nothing. When I go to plug my Gray Ghost headphones into it, I do hear some static but nothing else. I tested the battery last night and it's fine. Aside from maybe the thing just not working I'm wondering if I'm missing something. obvious.

Been a while since I tried one on my Sovereign, but think I had to get a adapter to use on the depthmaster before I could plug it into my Sovereign as one is stereo and one is mono. It goes on the jack that plugs into the Sovereign. I didnt like mine at all and have it laying around here somewhere as I found the Timberwolf headphones gave me the best volume and the best tones for my hearing. I also got a pair of Bushmasters that i tried breifly and these too seem to have some great volume and tones on my GT and my E-Trac. Timberwolfs are no longer being made so not able to get new, but have a couple extra sets and the Bushmasters are made by the same place your Gray Ghost are, but for another dealer.

Which reminds me to build the volume clipper for my Sony Studio phones from Walmart. I like the audio of these headphones but if I turn the volume on the GT all the way up (which most recommend to amplify deep targets) then shallow large objects blast my ears. With a clipper circuit I could have the volume cranked up all the way but it will drop the volume of very loud targets. Has anybody built one for these headphones yet? I would think the resistor values (if not using a diode based clipper) would have to be calibrated for the ohms of the speakers.
