GT and null question... high trash...

I have a site where I hunt a lot that has had constant use since the 1830s, including both Confederate and Yankee. It is absolutely LOADED with iron and aluminum trash. Someone, sometime, even ran over aluminum cans with the mower. I can tell from using my T2, which does not null on iron but grunts on iron, that it is everywhere. You cannot swing a coil six inches without a signal of some kind. I am not sure how to use the GT here. I try using it and swinging really slow but mostly all I get is null and false signals on square nails and small wadded aluminum.
Does anyone have any advice on how to best use the Gt here?
The ground is also very high in mineral/iron. On the T2 it reads 1.0% iron, and that is really high. I can drag a small magnet here three ft and it will be covered in small pebbles.

Thanks...

what a nightmare , all you can do in my opinion is to get the smallest coil you got and work slowly , it almost sounds unhuntable , unless you wanna start in a small area and start cleaning out the smallish signals using pinpoint mode ......goosd luck on that

yea i know what you mean. we have a park like that here . its old turn of the century and even with my explorer with a x-5 coil id fight to get surface clads. i had alot of luck those getting into the tree lines where the park people let the tree lines and brushes grow in so they wouldn't have to cut as much grass. you can try that.

I find a LOT of stuff there I just have a hard time with the GT and the Tejon is just unusable because I would dig the wole 4 acres. I am having the most luck with my T2 but I really want to use the GT more on this site. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks,

J
