GT and Cache hunting

Was wondering with these new SEF coils and the specific characteristics of the Sovereign GT that you all know so well, does it make a GREAT caching hunting detector? My criteria for one is a all metal circuitry and sound that is makes that is steady, clean, responsive to ferrous as well as non ferrous metals and the sound is filled with information like conductivity, size and depth. Great ground balancing too. The GTI 2500 comes to mind for cache hunting with its deep all metal mode and graphic sizing screen or the Nautilus with the 15" coil and ferrous and non ferrous info coming at you simultaneously or even one of Eric Fosters deep pulse machines like the Goldscan 5C or Minelab GP4500 with a 18" coil. Never have I heard anyone attempting to use an Explorer or Sovereign as a cache hunting machine. Not to say it could not be used. Any detector in principal can. But what do you say in regards of the unique characteristics on the GT or SE in regards to this specific application.
