Here's an almost 8 inch Hibiscus my wife grew. A common dinner plate is 10 inches so to get an idea of size. Steve in so la

That hibiscus is huge! I hope that is not an indicator of how big the bugs grow
 
That is a huge flower. Liz growed some pretty flowers this year in our garden. But none are that big.
 
I took ours back to the store. It was a tropical so I can't plant it here outside.
 
Beautiful & huge bloom--I used to grow flowers in my yard in S. St. Louis County but nothing now! But can admire others' flowers who do the hard work of planting & caring for them!
