Ground with coal dust

dirt lizard

Member
I hunt a park in a certain area where there is plenty of coal and coal dust infested dirt. I get hot rock signals constantly running the MXT Pro in ground position. If I change over to tracking would it stop some of the problem?

Give it a try and see if it will help.

Hi Dirt, If the MXT Pro is like the first reg. MXT, you can put it in lock before you turn it on and it will lock in at 50. That might let you hunt better. I have never used the Pro, but I have used the MXT when they first came out. I know they don't make the reg. MXT anymore. I just got a new demo MXT for $250.00. Going to put it up till my first one quits, if it ever dose. I love the MXT, I have had about evey detector made and still go back to my MXT. Good luck with the PRO.
