Ground mineralization

How do you guys measure ground mineralization? I would like to know how you determine if it is low, medium or high. Do you use the reccomended sensitivity setting to determine the level? If you do use the sensitivity setting what are your cut-off numbers for each level? Thank You

auto sens has always worked great for me!

You can measure the mineralization with your V3i.

You can use your sence #s to tell you how the soil conditions are 1 to 10 are high medium is 10 to 20 and low would be 20 to 30 these are just guesses but it gives you a idea .sube

Thank you for your responses

I hunt in an area of "High Mineralization" where ground readings are in the high 70's to high 80's when measured with the ATGold and MXT. The recommended sensitivity readings in the same ground on the CTX run from as low as 1 to the low teens. Some times I'll run the CTX in Auto but also switch to Manual and generally set the sensitivity to 2-3X the recommended reading when running in manual. I calibrate my sensitivity and choice between Auto and Man based on how much "chatter" I'm getting and how many "False" iron signals.

I seem to remember a few threads on here about some advantages with running in manual sens as CTX operates on more frequencies when that choice is selected. I need to check on that though.
