Ground Mineralization

Just out of curiousity...so far the few places i have tried with the mxt show a ground make up of 50's and the last 3 places have been in the 70's and 80's. And i have been getting ALOT of hot rock readings. Is this normal with the MXT??? Im using the 950 coil.
 
yeah sounds like maby a little less gain should help,i had the same problem on me first few swings,i cut back the gain and it was fine.
 
Ive ran the gain from 6 up to +1. Aint been having much luck finding deeper targerts, all about 4-5 inches....learning to dig alot of trash with this machine,
