Ground hard as a rock. Need some rain.

I have not done much detecting because of the drought, ground is very hard, sticking to beaches for now.

I feel your pain (as I dig ). We are always like this - I got used to either digging anyway but, moreso, looking for softer spots. Under trees, where things have been planted, lawns, etc. But if I had a nearby beach I sure would hit it also. Good luck, I'm going out to do some more sidewalk strips tomorrow. steve in so az

Here, in west Michigan, we did get some rain, for which we're very thankful, but it wasn't enough to make the farmers happy. The ground is very hard, in most places, making digging a chore. I suppose it's just as well, as I've not been up to getting out lately anyway.

dry here as well...really tired of the triple digit days...last month highest electric bill since I lived in this house...but as all things it will pass...Glory to God!!!
