Ground dry would play with halo

Am I wrong or will the ground,very dry,play with halo?
Both the C$ and 3D work good in the woods,I move out to a field and they both run funny.The C$ works better then the 3D in the field,still jumps all over and tryed changing settings.This is not in just one area.I drive 150 miles north back home and samething.I have even been out am and pm no change.They both work fine just seem to run funny,I dont know how to say this.

And yes, dry ground will cause different performance than wet ground. Not necessarily better or worse, just different.
