Hello everyone i have one question. How do i know i have hot soil? The green numbers on the screen are always between 13 and 17. I want to.start using ground coin setting, and i read a page that when we use this setting i have to enable ground balance, does this means that every now and then i will have to ground balance manually??? , thanks

There's no official/fixed rule but looks to me you qualify.
Some chose 0 to 10 as horrible ground, 10 to 20 as moderately mineralized, and 20 to 30 as 'go-for-it' soil. (There's no 'fixed rule' here...just wild guesses.)

You don't actually HAVE to enable ground balance to use Ground Coin mode, and you may wish to try it both ways to see if you can tell a difference...especially in depth.

If you do choose to run with ground balance enabled, then yes...you will have to GB manually every now and then. If your pinpoint threshold goes away, or you seem to have lost pinpoint depth, is a good indication it's past time to GB.

Depending on where/what you're hunting, you may also wish to try High Trash mode. It also works quite well in most mineralization.

HH,
mike
