Ground Balancing the Fisher Coinstrike

onpoint

New member
I came across this on the Fisher Coin$trike homepage under "Click here for Ground Balancing the Coinstrike" ( note: Mike Hillis has indicated that if he wants to set the GB a little positive he starts out with the coil slightly above the ground. ) Can anyone tell me why he is doing this and what are the disadvantage and advantages?
Any help would be great.
Clinton.
( I have dropped Mike an email but no reply as yet.)

Onpoint, I used the method John used on the C$ website and had great success with that method. In clean ground, using all metal, use the ground balance method stated in the manual. Besides using all metal, I only lifted the coil to about two or three inches. Worked great for me and had a very stable detector. R.L.
