GROUND BALANCING NEW CZ-3D ON THE BEACH

On vacation here in the Outer Banks. Brought both my Fisher detectors to do some beach searching. Just got this new 3D and can't seem to get it to ground balance. Do as the owner's manual says but don't get any response. Also have my ID Excel which I am having problems balancing too. I am from Illinois so the sand is something new for me. Do I do things differently when in the salt mode? Please, need a little help here!!! Thanks for a great forum.

CZ-3D Suggestions:

Salt Mode
Sensitivity- b/t 3 and 4 if you run it to high the CZ-3D will be all over the place
Check for black sand (high mineralization) that stuff seems to throw the CZ all over the place! This may be more of a problem in the surf then the dry. If you notice some areas on the beach the detector will be fine but there is always a spot or two where the black sand seems to run interference for all the goodies.

Good luck
