ground balancing advice.....

New member
i have a question about ground balancing my new ace250. garrett says that the unit has a fixed balancing system. i'm trying to find out the best method's for adjusting the settings, so the unit will function at
it's highest level, without sacrificing it's ability to detect all objects. thanks for the help!!!

If you are wanting to detect all objects, then All Metal mode is the way to go. And boost your sensitivity up as high as it can go before it starts falsing. There is'nt much more you can squeeze out of the 250 than that...other than maybe buying a DD or 9X12 coil. Also the SEF Butterfly coils are supposed to be good for better target separation. Good luck !!

The 250 cannot be manually ground balanced. The 2500 has this feature, and possibly some of their other models that I'm not aware of.
