Which do you prefer, manual or automatic ground balance in your gold detector....
 
Happy Hour that decision is really a personal preference...some like auto GB while others prefer manual GB. I've used both types out west and enjoyed each at different times. Sometimes I felt like "fiddling with knobs" while other times I didn't depending on ground conditions and mood. Some prospectors want to manually set a base GB and listen for any and all mineral readings for further investigation...others want the auto GB units to track and help smooth out mineral readings while hopefully not tracking out any metal targets. You may want to also post this question on the prospectors forum for more opinions on what they prefer. Best of luck to you and HH!
