Ground Balance Settings?

RLOH

Well-known member
Here is a question for some of the long time CZ users. I have had all the CZ's and I have never had any problem ground balancing by using any method. I currently use the autotune bob method and I almost always end up with a setting of 2 1/2 to 3. Here is my question. Are settings from say 1 to 4 saying that there is low mineralization or does that mean high mineralization? I was always under the impression that lower numbers meant mild ground and higher numbers meant hot ground, but to be honest, nobody ever told me that. Just wondering? Thanks R.L.

I have been using CZ's since the original CZ6 and every model up until the present CZ3D...Years ago was told by a Fisher Tech the specific number it ground balances neutral does not indicate amount of mineralization...as long as it is ground balanced properly it will get more depth and stability..Having used many models of CZ's in the same basic areas i find that to be true as numbers varied by a number or two in the same area with different models and even seen the exact model by myself and another hunter differ..For a complete explanation contact Fisher and talk to one of the Tech's if possible.
