Grey Ghost Underwater Headphones For Excalibur??

Waterman

Member
I will be replacing my factory headphones on my Excalibur 800 and I think that the Grey Ghost Underwater Headphones may be the way to go, but would like to hear from others who have changed from factory headphones to something else. I normally only hunt in water up to my chin when the water is calm, if not I stay in the water up to my chest only. I appreciate your thoughts, Thanks H.H.:)

Waterman, I just hard wired a Sun Ray S-12 and the Grey Ghost Underwater Headphones on to my Excalibur. This combination is just great. I've only been able to use it for an hour or so but I am impressed.

Frank, if you get a resonse please let me know I want to do the same!
Where did you get the grey ghost headphones?

Thanks Dean from Mass

Frank,

1St let me say that you will be loosing your warranty!! 2nd I've been an electronic tech for over 30 years!! I have the experience to do this.. It involves un-soldering and re-soldering to the circuit board. Also depending on your unit you might have to drill out your end caps for either the coil end or the headphone end. Now after I gave you the warning and you still want to do this send me a PM or e-mail me and lets talk.

Best choice, I have them on mine with the Ikelite connectors, not hard wired in case you want to remove them. Works great!!!
