Grey Ghost Ultimates

I just received a pair of ultimate Gray Ghost headphones from a forum member and had a question. I plugged them in and they seem to work fine but I was surprised I had to turn them allhear up to really hear them well. Don't get me wrong they are plenty loud but if I turn them down a notch they aren't loud enough. Also the directions say to push the white button to get the sound you want but it doesn't seem to change anything. The other button basicly turns the sound on and off. Does anyone else use max volume on their Grey Ghosts? Is there something I should know that I don't?

I've been using my Grey Ghost Ultimate's for 3 yrs. now - approx. 700 hunts.
I'm pretty sure I run on the 2nd or 3rd setting down from the highest volume - any higher and they blow my ears off - and my hearing is not exactly perfect
Maybe contact the mfg. and see what they have to say.

Their fantastic headphones - great sound and very well built. I hunt year round - had my out in all kinds of weather - dropped them on the ground, snagged on countless branches etc
The cord on mine is finally starting to short out - I have to wiggle the connection by the battery compartment to get sound now and then.
So ... I'm going to order a new set next month and send the ones I have now in for repair and use them as a backup set when they come back.

Good Luck !
.

and the white button does nothing for mine either.
