Grey Ghost HP

Hi Forum

just got a CTX and have some grey ghost headphones seen on the minelab website how to rewire them to cut of the speaker , just wondering does anyone know which color wire goes where ?

thanks for you help and the great forum.

Instead of rewiring your headphones for use with the CTX, I'd suggest you keep the Grey Ghost warranty valid and make yourself a short pigtail that accomplishes the same thing. That way, you can use the headphones on other detectors, if you like. If you decide that route is worth a shot, here's a link showing how to do it.

thanks for the link Digger , but I already cut the plug off  shouldn't have to change any internals?? just need to know which wire goes where in the minelab diagram  hope someone can help, I have another set of headphones for other detectors and can use the mono to stereo adaptor till I find a solution or I guess trial and error would work on the new plug on the grey ghosts, but would prefer not to have to do that so if someone has done what I am doing uuuummm help please :clapping:

thanks again for all your help !!

I wanted my ndts to still operate correctly so what I did was by a 3 position switch just like killer b uses on the sunray pro golds for the ctx. its a dp3t switch (on-on-on), I then removed the original 2 position switch and replaced it and rewired the dp3t. now my ndts work exactly like the sunray with the center position being for the ctx. I will probably never have to worry about it anyhow since I always use the wireless but I did it for that just in case...

thanks for that SavingThePast , I might have to change the switch also , time will tell still waiting on the stereo plug so will see what happens they are back ups anyway, don't have wireless just something else I have to cart around got enough, and batteries to charge, but as they say whatever works hey we are all different or there would just be one detector and one set of headphones.

thank you all for your help!
