has anybody changed their excal headphones to grey ghost doing the work yourself and not sending it back to the factory. if so could you give me a short explanation on how to do it and wear to get the connectors . thanks

Maybe you can get a connector directly from Minelab.

Send your excal into Minelab, They will install a endcap on you unit just like what your battery looks like.

And then they install a connector on your headphone just like the way you connect your battery togeather.

Its best to let minelab do the work because when they get your excal and they install the endcap on your unit there is no way water will get into the controls.

Also its a good ideal in case you ever sell your detectort to have a connector installed on the yellow headphones so you can keep the grey ghost headphones.

I changed mine out and they fill 100 percent better and also had minelab install the connector on my yellow headphones not only for resale, but also if i ever have problems and need a working back up head phone.
