Hi Folks,
I got into the hobby 20 years ago with a little Treasure Hunter TR, then a small Bounty Hunter. Got lucky a few
times but never met any other MDers or learned much about the hobby.!
Now, through the magic of the internet, I've found this fine site and tons of helpful folks. After a week of reading,
I ordered a Garrett Ace 250. Either it's some of the best value for the buck or you guys are on Garretts payroll. LOL!
I plan to add the sniper coil for my 65th birthday next month. I'm gonna start out coinshooting. There are some
pretty interesting sites in the area to hit. If I can find a local club or a MD'ing buddy, I may get into relics. For now
though, my yard and adjoining properties were settled well before the civil war and the local museum has a display
of Charleston Silver that was found "in my yard, under the chicken coop a generation after Sherman's march. I'm
excited like a kid at Xmas waiting on the new Garrett! LOL!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for making this such an informative site for folks wanting to
learn more about this fun hobby. Warm regards, Jim
