I would like to introduce myself. My name is Bob or and I came here initially for advice on a very sore subject matter for me. I was told about your site by another detectorist in another forum I frequent in Michigan. I have 2 Fisher CZ-20's and a White's DFX. I have been hunting for around 10 years. I have only been underwater hunting for around 6 years though.

You probably have seen a few of my posts. I would like to be welcomed as a regular here by the regulars and I feel I have some advice and great finds under my belt.

My best finds include:

18K Half Karat Diamond Ring

I have found well over 100 Barber coins and lots of others in the last 10 years. I am 51 years old and live just outside of Port Huron MI. I mainly dive and have been a certified diver since 1980. If my knowledge and in-site are helpful I will be glad to share what I know. I have a lot of gold and diamond rings and they are my favorite finds now. I still haven't found a caped coin but I have found everything else it seems like. Last year I found my first old silver dollar, a 1922 peace in the water. Anyway, hopefully I can be part of your group and add some in-site and tips if needed.

Welcome to the forum from NY scubadetector, wow you have some awesome finds there wtg:thumbup: Getting certified scuba is one of my goals for this year. Great to have you here. Good Luck!

I used to be a diver but can't dive anymore. I'm jealous of you guys but love reading about your finds. I pretty much stick to local beaches now but used to just hunt relics. And there was a time when we could even find plenty of Civil War relics on the beach nearest me. But they started a beach renourishment project quite a few years ago and do it now every couple of years or so. It's still fun to find gold and silver and I'm very happy when I do. Plus there's nothing quite so relaxing as walking a deserted beach in winter. Sometimes I think that's the biggest treasure of all for me. Very good for the mind. Glad to have you here and look forward to hearing lots from you. btw, pretty impressive photos of some of your finds. HH!!
