Green 250

coin hunter

New member
I use a 1500 ,and a 2500 detector. My son uses a 250 with the 9 by 12 head. The 250 is a animal with that set up.Other than imaging the 250 goes just as deep and covers a wide sweeping area. When he finds a target he puts the head on the ground pin points it and gives the detector a little shake. If it makes a couple more bings he knows its a coin. I had bought him a 550 to up grade , to him its not a upgrade. 550 for sale! The only thing he would change is color of the 250 from yellow to Garrett GREEN. Not a bad idea . He has used my 1500 and 2500 and he still goes back to his 250 . The recover time on targets is amazing and and the sensitivity to metal targets in the ground is unbelievable. A GREEN 250 would be nice.

Yep!:wiggle:That Ace 250 is one heck of a machine!:garrett::detecting:My better half proves that to me every time we go out swingin':biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

The color isn't so bad in my opinion. I like it better than that sickly green. But
some people like green because it's the color of money. :)-)
A can of spray paint might spiff it up alittle.

I like the Ace 250 just the way it is. It is simple, easy to operate, no excessive menus to go thru. When I go out the door the Ace 250 goes with me almost every time.

My only problem with the Ace 250... makes me question how much I spent on my other detectors. ;)

I love my Ace 250 ...

This is off the subject..but how do you add a profile picture? Am I missing something?

Yeah the 250 is a surprise to many. Guess that's why it's the most sold tector on the market. With that large coil it will hunt right along with the big boys. Course if he had put the big coil on the 550 the results would have been the same. I have a field test on the 550 over at losttreasure.com

Nice yellow! I just love how it looks and I often put it somewhere in the house so I can look at it. Yes, my buddy with his x-terra was surprised what depths my ace with big coil got on coins. I saw my other buddy with ace and stock coil pull out a deep very thin 15th century silver coin that even tesoro's struggle with.

and get you some "Goo Gone" and green paint.
Use the Goo Gone to gently remove the stickers on the Ace. Then paint it green. Once the paint cures, after 1-2 days - re-attach the stickers.
