Great Weather & Hunt Yesterday....

52 degrees and sunny and supposed to be the same today! Can't ask for more in November in Southern Ontario!!

In keeping with a discussion regarding poaching had last week I'm not going to say too much about where I went yesterday. Suffice it to say I 1st heard about it over 20 years ago, got more info a few months ago and after three searches narrowing it down hit the bullseye yesterday at about 50' from where I found a modern 14k bracelet a while back.

I did'nt find the spot until about 3 and Conchita was picking me up at 5 so this all came in that two hours.

First indication that I had the right spot was this hole that gave up two silver and a big penny.

Five minutes later I got my oldest Canadian half to date and 1st in three years.

Copper coins are 1916,17,18 big pennies and a 1902 Indian.

Small silver includes 1910,1914 and 1918 little nickles and a 1903 dime.

The 1900 half is fairly worn but I'm real happy with it.

Anyone know what this thing is supposed to be? 6' of PVC banded to a tree and camo painted. The top end is closed and the bottom end is a halved elbow with holes drilled through. I assume to let water out.

Thanks for looking & GH, Chris

.... a sign based on color and shape that us site poachers use. We put them out in likely areas and then watch and listen for folks saying they got good diggin by the strange looking PVC device.

Based on what they say, we know where to go back and search.

Just teasing ..... And nice finds.
