Great Tones

Okay, had to sell my DFX for short term financial issues. I liked the DFX but have always like the tones on my Eagle Spectrum since I have had it. I know that the Eagle Spectrum was the model prior to the XLT and so I wanted to know if anyone had used both detectors and if the tones on the XLT are the same as the Spectrum. I figured they had to be the same but was needing confirmation from a user of both machines. I am thinking that my next machine may be an XLT because I like the Spectrum so much.

I like the tones on xlt .I have never had the chance to run a dfx or eagle spectrum.I run XLT -E there is a tone frq adjustment but you do not have option to select a different tone for different vid numbers.Dont know if that helped.

I believe the target tones work the same on both units. It's been so long since I had mine, I can't remember for sure. But I think that they both have an adjustable frequency and that is the center frequency for all your tones. In other words, you can set them both the same and they'll sound the same.

Pescadore I just graduated from an Eagle Spectrum to an XLT E series. I'll fill you in as soon as I spend some time hunting this weekend!
