It has been some time since I have went out detecting. Put on my bibs and went out for a quick hunt at a park that I have hunted many times. I figured 30 mins in 30 degree weather would be enough :). Glad I did!

Great way to get back in to it!

I thought it was neat, first day of 2016, I find a 1916 Barber :p

Forum is not as busy as it was before, what happened?

Really cool find. Could be a sign of great things this year.

Great find. It's always exciting to pull a Barber out the ground.

I think it is the weather. Down here in the south it was 82 Christmas day.
It's been hot all year 2015 with one short cold spell. I think the north and
especially the northeast where most of the good stuff is found is getting too
cold to dig or something. That's my thoughts. Was really busy up until cold
weather came in across the midwest and northeast

I really envy you guys that live in older areas, In all of 2015 I only found two silver coins and 1000 clad coins. I did get one gold ring and 4 junk rings
This area here is just not old enough. I hope 2016 is better.

Northeast is frozen solid now, no detecting til the big thaw in a few months. Its researching time now!
