Great resource for Civil War hunters

Please check your libraries for the four volume set of "Battles and Leaders of the Civil War' which are the official reports and contributions by Union and Confederate officers. The battles are described in great detail and most have a map that gives detailed locations of each of the army regiments at the time of the battle. Or in the case of a long battle lasting several days, each position each day. By overlapping the map with current topography maps, one can be at the exact locations and have a great chance to find more than just a few bullets. I bought my set from EBAY. There is one set now available for $40. Since I am in the Northeast, I may not have a chance to investigate these sites, but I want to give those dedicated hunters in those states a better chance to add some great finds to their collections and even solve some mysteries left unsolved for the past 143 years.
Good luck and good hunting!

I also found another book that will help as well, it is titled "THE WAR OF THE REBELLION:
A COMPILATION OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS OF THE UNION AND CONFEDERATE ARMIES", it also has maps used by both North and South Armies, I have only briefly looked at this book, so there is research ahead of me now!!:crylol::crylol:, here is a link to it.
