Great morning relic hunting with the E-TRAC

Went out yesterday morning to hunt a Confederate camp that has been visited by many over the years. After a four hours was able to pull out 5 nice bullets and a small brass harness or saddle ornament? I have not dug one of these before so am not positive as to it's exact use. There is still a bit of leather under one of the hooks on the backside. One of the bullets was carved on by a soldier and it appears he was making a game piece out of it. Perhaps a chess knight?

All the bullets were deep. The deepest was 11 inches while the shallowest was 8 inches. I was using a Minelab E-TRAC running in the stock Relic program with the stock coil. Even the 11 inch bullet produced a very solid signal. The brass piece was dug at 7 inches. The E-TRAC really did outstanding sniffing the deep ones out. Great morning in the woods!

nice bullets. What is that in the last pic ? looks like something that clamps onto clothing. ?

That was the brass piece I mentioned. It looks like it may have gone on a harness or saddle.
