Got out for a nice hunt at a new spot I just found by doing a google search of parks in an area I am not to familiar with. I do this all the time when I am in different areas that I am just passing through, If I can't hit it right then, I just make a note of it and hit it when I have the time. I have been getting a little frustrated with the Ctx and was actually contemplating selling or trading it for another etrac. I had been digging a lot of nails!!! I went and switched some settings around and on this hunt I only dug 1 nail and 2 tiny pieces of iron. I was switching between combine and 50 tone conductive comparing them on the same targets to see what was working better. It really helped I also switched deep on and fast off and turned gain up to 30 along with some other settings. I am going to try 2 tone ferrous next time out.
I just sent the 11" coil to Minelab for some problems. I am hoping they will just replace it. I was running the 17" coil on this hunt and it is going to stay on there for the time being. Good depth along with great separation for a big coil. Picks up very small items very clear even deeper signals. The silvers I dug were between 6 to 8 inches. I have some real deep signals that I passed over due to time restraints. I will dig them next time. I also want to dig those signals on camera.
I ended up with 5 silvers. Four mercury dimes, years 1923,1928,1935,1937-D!!
I also dug my first Canadian silver!!!!
It is an 1871-H Queen Victoria 10 cent Canada!!! 1,870,000 minted so i guess it is a semi key date??
I am going to try and put a link to the video that is on my youtube channel jb103081
Please check it out and subscribe for more.
Thank you,
Jason
