Great Forum

I have been reading this forum from top to bottom very interesting machine from all I have read. Even no it has a lot to offer it seems that with any detector if you can't hear the target you can't dig it. And it seems this detector can replace a lot of detectors that some of us use. It sounds like it may not be as deep as the Etrac but maybe with understanding the way you can program it you can get deep depth. I have read that some users are getting great depth and I like that they can update the software like my Iphone does. And I would pay for that if it really did add to the proformance of the machine. It is light and that is a plus for my body and I have seen how fast it is. My G2 is very fast but maybe this detector is even faster and will unmask more targets?

It would seem to me that who ever makes the next new machine will have to really give us something that is the next big step in our hobby and not the same machine with bells and whistles. I tired the V3i but you are paying for a color screen and ways to check out the target that don't really work. So I felt like a lot of my money on that machine was spent on eye candy. I could program it to be as fast as the G2 and with the different freq I felt it may uncover more targets. But at some digs the machine was just out of contol and I had to play with it to try and get it to work right. The G2 always worked the same no matter where I hunted. But this machine is from France and they do hunt differently from us. The ground is different the coins and relics are different and so are the machines. But it seems this machine does great in the USA so it all sounds so tempting. Sometimes I like to just trust one machine and use it for the first hunt where you may never come back to and don't want to miss anything. For the places that I can return to I like to use different machines that I have. But now you have the different freq and that would make this machine a great coin shooter and a great relic hunter all in one machine.

So keep up the good work I can't hunt till Dec I just had a bone marrow transplant in Dec and have to wait a year till I can play in the dirt again so a lot to read and think about but this forum keeps me coming back to learn from your hunts.

Thanks
LowBoy

I have hunted in gray clay fields. Didnt notice anything special, that would affect the performance of the Xp Deus.

hi
wow :surprised: i wish you a solid recovery after an intervention like that! youll soon be back on your feet :)
tbh i think the new next machines are looking for depth with a propa disc but who wants to dig 40cm all the time, fair enough if you know your land and maybe there might be something down there lol dreamy stuff
after all we are looking for lost fiddlybits in lived areas so the quicker signal recognition the better and i think xp have pretty much nailed it for speed in understanding ones land and search points and with the deus it gives you the option to go a bit deeper in a day with a flick of a program n dont worry france europe wherever, is pretty much the same your looking for occupied land so the same things count and one is looking for a conductive metal :)
interesting you mention clay land as in the south of france i am having fun sussing out the diferent worked ground finds from areas that have now been ploughed deep and ground next to it that hasen,t im slowly finding the non deep ploughed land has more there to find than after the plough, things just dont sink that deep in clay aspecialy if its a hot climate area! finds just stay in the top 15 20 cm so reactivty is a must , the farmers that reclaim clay land go in with a very deep plough so its all turned inside out

The Pitch program mimics the G2 but the Deus can take it to a whole new level with the easy adjustments. My fav mode. Hope your feeling better friend. Tex Kinsey
